After chopping it up with these guys, it’s my belief that the grass is always greener on their side of the fence. With their newest mixtape, Epic Behavior set for debut on 4/20, I was fortunate enough to snag a quick interview with the 3tards in between them working on their latest project.

Comprised of four members, Katt, Supa, Flash E, & Fool McCool, the 3tards hit the college scene ridiculously hard with last year’s 4/20 mixtape, Laff.On.Loud (L.O.L.). The group’s lively expressive demeanor and outrageous personality, immediately gained them the support of Orlando’s college party scene. And now with a near cult following fan base, I project the “Tards” to extend their following to the greater Central Florida.

Who are the 3Tards?
3TARDS are generally anyone that practices epic behavior. 3TARDS are 4 lead singers in one band, forming the first ever LEAD BAND!

How did the group decide on the name, 3Tards?
Well really its not even 3tards, its “TARDS TARDS TARDS” but 3tards has become a popular nickname for us.

Why did you decide to start in Orlando?
This is where we all came to go to school and where we met for the first time. We combined our networks and put together the campaign.

What makes the 3tards different from other up and coming artists in Orlando?
We commit to the music and we aren’t afraid to experiment with new concepts and techniques. We have high levels of relate-ability to our listeners

Where does the 3tards draw their inspiration?
Fool: I draw inspiration from the simplest interactions in life, they’re the most interesting
Flash: The power of the music inspires me the most.
Katt: What they said
Supa: Any and EVERYTHING! My inspirations have no limitations.

What do you feel Orlando is missing?
Fool: Orlando is missing an identity. People come and go, bring and leave their styles, but no one really knows what Orlando sounds like.
Flash: I feel like Orlando is missing the unity in “CommUNITY”
Katt: What they said
Supa: Somebody EVERYBODY here can relate to.

What’s next for the 3tards?
Well after we take over the World there’s really nothing more to do is there? Unless the universe is up for grabs

From a lyrical standpoint, who has the meanest flow out of the group?
Fool: Lead Singer SHAWTY!! I can’t stress it enough, the lead singer always sets the tone
Flash: Everybody knows the lead singer is the illest on the flow
Katt: What they said
Supa: The lead singer ain’t the lead singer for nothing.

If you could have one super power, what would it be?
Fool: The power to wake up and decide what my superpower will be for the day. I’d have no known weaknesses, making me invincible.
Flash: Kush vision. The power to get people stoned with a single glance!
Katt: No seriously, what they said
Supa: Healing like Claire Bennett from Heroes!
