Climax Vibes: Money On The Floor

Published on June 14th, 2012

With the rainy summer days coming about, hitting the streets all day is becoming a thing of the past. If you’re like me, having the perfect playlist to vibe to on an ugly day is imperative. Whether you’re enjoying bottles of wine on your couch by yourself, spending time with your man friend while he decides to make those ones – or quarters – hit the floor while you show him your best impersonation of Beyonce, this playlist will definitely give you that cool vibe you need!

Mitchelle’l ft. Wale: Irene

Man! I really wasn’t expecting this to come from a Grand Hustle artist, but I have to say that I’m digging this track to the point of no return! It puts me in a vibe that’s unexplainable with just the beat alone! I don’t’ know who Irene is, but she has to be one badddd female! Whenever this full album drops, I vow to be one of the first people in line to purchase it.

Chris Brown ft. 2 Chainz & Snoop Dogg: Oh Yeah

Even with all the recent beef that’s been going on between Chris and half of the world, I can’t help but still dig his latest single. This track, which features 2 Chainz and Snoop Dogg is pretty freakin dope! I don’t care if you’re not a fan, you have to admit that he’s definitely doing big things right now.

Mirimage: Because She Is

Somebody PLEASE tell me where I’ve been because this is the first track I’ve ever heard by these guys! The duo Mirimage, who have apparently been out for some time, just released their most recent single, “Because She Is” and I’m in love with it! Finding good music is great!

Tweet: Trouble

The Southern Hummingbird herself is back on the music scene! Oh, how I’ve truly missed Tweet. Dropping this track titled “Trouble” as a part of her Tuesday installments, I couldn’t help but run it back about 3 times after the first listen. Whoever gave her this beat knew EXACTLY what they were doing. I hope this is a great comeback year for her!

John Hart ft. IAmSu: Who Booty

Sure to be the newest club banger, “Who Booty” is one of those summer anthem joints whether you like it or not. Putting me in the zone of “Trickin” by Mullage, John Hart is definitely going to get a lot of rotation with this track!

_______________

Usher: 2nd Round

Good lawd! With the release of his long anticipated album Looking 4 Myself earlier this week, Usher has made me fall in love with him all over again. Other than his collab track with Rick Ross titled “Lemme See”, I would honestly have to say that “2nd Round” comes in a close second off the album. You really can’t help but love Usher.

_______________

Chantel ft. The Game: Sending My Love (Remix)

Beautiful songstress, Chantel, brings us her remix to her track “Sending My Love” which features The Game. Game’s opening verse gives the track exactly what it needs. A remake from the 1994 Zhane’ track, Chantel does a pretty great job at giving us the up to date version.

August Alsina ft. Luke Skyywalker: Pop That (Let Me See)

Easily one of my favorite up and coming artists, August Alsina has made sure to not disappoint me every since I first heard his voice. The Louisiana native with the help of Luke Skyywalker a.k.a, Uncle Luke, just provided me with another reason to question why he isn’t signed or why people have been sleeping on him. “Pop That” moves to one of my top favorite joints by him!

_______________

Big K.R.I.T. ft. 2 Chainz and 8 Ball & MJG: Money On The Floor

Although this track surfaced a few months back, I couldn’t help but drop it on this playlist since the release of K.R.I.T.’s album, Live From the Underground, was just last week. One of the best albums I’ve heard this year, he clearly didn’t disappoint. As difficult as it was for me to choose, “Money On The Floor” has to be one of my top five tracks on the album.

Big Boi ft. Theophilus London & Tre Luce

Ahh man. Anything I hear with Big Boi on it is usually a blessing and this song proves no different. Joining forces with Theophilus London and Tre Luce, “She Said Okay” takes me back to one of the old Outkast tracks. Good music is finally coming back and I couldn’t be more happier.

_______________

Cocaine 80′s: Queen To Be

At the top of the year, I’m sure I stated that 2012 was the year that the music game was going to be revived. Although we’re only half way through the year, I can go ahead and confirm that previous statement. The Cocaine 80′s, who have quickly become some of my favorite people, dropped the track “Queen To Be” which unfortunately, doesn’t sample anything from Coming To America. Still a fire track though!

_______________

Frank Ocean: Pyramids

Prepping us for the July 17th release of his debut album, Channel Orange, Frank Ocean finally gave us a full length track…literally. With the song hitting almost ten minutes, “Pyramids” is nevertheless one of those tracks that needs to ride out until the last second. I’m definitely anticipating this album AND this upcoming tour!
