The Boss and his MMG empire just keeps giving us something to talk about. With the latest release of Meek Mill’s mixtape and the signing of Maybach O, Rick Ross has been keeping very busy. Things just got even better with his release of his current single “Touch ‘N You” which features Usher. I like these two on collabs together and can’t wait for either  of their albums to drop! It’s a great year for music!

AS Tha Kang prepares us for his September 4th release of his long anticipated album, Trouble Man new singles just keep coming! His latest leak “Like That” is pretty dope and I know I’m not the only person impatiently awaiting the arrival of the new album! Your thoughts?

The ability to crash one of Hip-Hop’s biggest and most popular websites takes a lot. It’s even more difficult when the website crashes for a mixtape release. That is, unless, you’re MMG’s youngest boss, Meek Mill. With the release of his sophomore mixtape, Dreamchasers 2 crashed DatPiff’s web-servers and sent Twitter into an incredible whirlwind. Dreamchasers 2 finds Meek in the driver seat and it seems like he’s finally found his comfort zone. He sounds strides better than his work on the first Dreamchasers (not to discredit that tape).

Meek has an extremely bright future ahead if he stays on track and doesn’t steer too far out of his lane. He’s mastered the art of yell-rapping so well that on the songs where he tones it down, you may find yourself running back to his more hype songs. With Dreamchasers 2, Meek has put together a solid mixtape that has us anticipating a retail album so we can hear Meek over more of the MMG cinematic production rather than the Lex Luger (or Beat Billionaire, Sonny Digital) type of sound.

Orlando Magic Forward Ryan Anderson continues to add to his breakout NBA season. Anderson, who won the NBA’s Most Improved Player award this season, was named to the USA Select Team. The USA Select Team is comprised of elite, young NBA talent and is chosen to play against Team USA in preparation for the 2012 London Olympic Games coming up this summer.

Ryan Anderson is joined by NBA Rookie of the Year, Cavs PG Kyrie Irving and another player who had a breakout season, Knicks PG Jeremy Lin. The rest of the USA Select Team will include DeMarcus Cousins, John Wall, DeMar DeRozan, Paul George, Taj Gibson, Klay Thompson, DeJuan Blair, Kawhi Leonard, Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward.

With all the noise that 2 Chainz has been making on the rap scene lately, it’s no wonder why he’s been a trending topic on twitter. Now, he’s giving everyone something else to talk about with his video for “Murder” which features a rather lovely Kreayshawn with him. The concept to the video actually fits the two of them quite well! How do you feel about it?
