Wu-Tang fans around Orlando gathered at The Beacham for Raekwon’s Shaolin vs Wu-Tang Tour. There’s nothing better than the crowd that comes out to a Wu-Tang show. In the midst of people watching and head nodding while patiently waiting for Raekwon to hit the stage you couldn’t help but notice the feeling of hip hop in the air. After seeing Wu-Tang in concert numerous times it was nice to see what Raekwon was talking about without 7 other people on the microphone. His music selection was more than any Wu fan can ask for. Raekwon performed “Can It Be That It Was All So Simple” and even added his own tempo by singing a verse of the chorus before the beat kicked in. Classic collaborations like “Verbal Intercourse”, “Johnny Blaze” and “Eye For An Eye” took me by pleasant surprise. All in all, it was a great night and an awesome look that Raekwon stopped in Orlando. May has been a month full of hip hop in Orlando and Raekwon’s Shaolin vs Wu-Tang show was icing on the cake.
