Lazy Afternoon Presents The Movement

Published on May 28th, 2012

Lazy Afternoon has been working on a monthly party on first Saturdays called “The Movement w/ DJ Rich Medina“ since January 2012 of this year as you may know. It is a homage to the legendary Paradise Garage underground nightclub (1976 – 1987) that operated in New York City and was the hang out for many great artists and musicians such as Keith Haring, Andy Warhol, and Jean-Michel Basquiat just to name a few. Its also Lazy Afternoon’s attempt at bringing back dancing into the Orlando night-life scene. So far, its taken off just by word of mouth alone. So much so, they’re moving from Substance Gallery to their new home at The Peacock Room. As always, it will take place the first Saturday of each month. The first one is June 2, 2012, 9pm-2:30am at the Peacock Room, admission is free before 11pm w/ RSVP to info@thelazyafternoon.com or $7 thereafter. 21+
