The Climax Life: Affiliates Edition
_
The Climax Life is a new segment launched with CultureClimax 2.0 that infuses photography, settings in Orlando and people in a photo ‘lookbook’. Once a month we will highlight various categories of people that make up Central Florida including musicians, business owners, students, entrepreneurs, fashion icons, artists and the list goes on.
_
October’s edition of The Climax Life features affiliates of CultureClimax who have contributed in one way or another to the culmination of CultureClimax 2.0. This is just a small segment of the individuals who have inspired and supported our vision. Something as minor as good advice or introducing a key connect or idea has helped bring CultureClimax together because of people in this edition of The Climax Life.

MandieB & Chisa | Lake Eola | Downtown Orlando
MandieB is a CultureClimax fashion contributor and Chisa is her extremely fashionable and funky friend. Both of these ladies are from South Florida, currently attending UCF and have a high sense of fashion and style. Trendsetting and staying true to their unique style correlate the women’s style section of CultureClimax. Unique, urban and revolutionary describe the feel of their Climax Life. I left it up to them to describe their style in their own words….
MandieB:
I love all things trendy, my style is a mix of everything. I like to call myself a sneaker/pump fashionista. My style will rival that of any sneaker head or model. I love colors and comfortable fabrics. Everything I wear accentuates my personality, vibrant and innovative. I’m constantly seeking what’s new, what’s hot. I love drawing attention, being unexpected. I want those around me to enjoy fashion as much as I do, so I make fashion fun.
Chisa:
A desire for things structured, exaggerated, light, dark… one word describes me best: Funky. My style is ever changing. It’s difficult to define me as hipster, sneakerhead, feminine, or androgynous. My style is a little of everything, & more. Fueled by what others tell me I should be. Inspired by my own thoughts. I lack inhibition when it comes to fashion. I don’t mind the outrageous. I show little concern for matching. If I feel good in it, I look good in it. If I look good, I’m happy.

OddzNEndz {Nino & Jay} | Eola Wine Company | Winter Park
These two represent what happens when you work hard at a craft that you love. This dynamic production duo has worked with everybody from some of hip-hop’s biggest stars such as Lil’ Wayne, Birdman and Juelz Santana to R&B artists Slim (of 112), Estelle and John Legend. Now local Winter Park residents, the duo formed in 1998 in high school and had a brief stint as a hip-hop group. They’ve since found their passion in production and writing. With their own label, Anotha One Records focusing on bringing new, upcoming artists from the Orlando area and helping them develop their sound, the two are able to give back a little of what they’ve experienced so far in their career.
Style wise, they stay on top of what’s current and are on their self-proclaimed “GQ Swag”. With a little help from J.Crew, H&M and Urban Outfitters, the duo pieces together some outfits that are focused on the fit of the pieces, coordinating the right colors and making sure that they portray an image that best suits their personas. You have Nino (Salmon shorts), the outgoing, not afraid to give you a piece of his mind, even if you’re not ready for it and then Jay, who’s a bit more reserved yet when he speaks, he’s going to make sure you listen. Not even 30 years old and these two are making moves in an industry where so many people would love to just get that pinky toe in the door. Oddz N Endz are helping to put Central Florida out there as a musical contender with the other major cities.

Stephanie Wood | The Vue | Downtown Orlando
CultureClimax caught up with Steph at her apartment on a beautiful sunny day in downtown Orlando and snapped a few photos while she was painting a piece for Jerry Lewis. Steph Wood has made an impeccable impact in Orlando’s artist community. Her abstract, urban-inspired artwork has been commissioned on a local and national level.
Steph’s style is a reflection of her artistic style…. Urban-inspired with a twist of chic. Her staple is her shoe game and hat collection. She’s always rocking some extra crazy shoes and makes her artsy, casual style look effortless and intriguing. As often as I see her casual, this girl can transform to model status in the blink of an eye. Steph’s amicable personality and unmatched talent are contributing to the rise of Orlando’s artist community and CultureClimax supports her every step of the way.

Logikalinskey & Zach Goody | University of Central Florida
Zach Goody:
“It’s gotta be the shoes.” That’s the first thing logikalinskey noticed on Zach Goody at his UCF orientation last year. At only 22 years old, this Rhode Island and Naples, FL transplant is currently seeking his Bachelor’s Degree from UCF. An avid sneaker collector and NBA 2K11 addict (Yes, 2K11…already!), Goody runs his personal brand; See For Yourself, that acts as his creative entity. Inspiration is another aspect that we and Goody have in common by seeing creative peers from Orlando, and different individuals making their own mark all around the world in their own way.
Fashion wise, Goody notes that he’s been inspired by people such as Pharrell for his individuality but remains true to his identity. Goody finds comfort in wearing pieces that represent him, whether that be musically, personally or representing his childhood with the retro kicks. Comfort is key and it’s great to see a young individual so determined to make it in whichever way life after college takes him.
Logikalinksey:
Logikalinskey is a main contributor for CultureClimax and a full time student at UCF. I met Linksey in middle school and it was clear that he was on a whole other level with his fashion and music sense. Linskey’s innovative ideas and perseverance has been instrumental in the launch of CultureClimax 2.0. He takes time out of his day to research, read and discover new culture all over the Internet and keeps CultureClimax and myself (Vitality) on top of our game.
When it comes to fashion, Linskey’s on a whole other level. His closet is something out of a magazine. The shoes, jeans, t-shirts and button down selection are impeccable yet simple. The best way to describe Linksey’s style is J.Crew meets urban sophisticated street wear. He’s made a recent transition to a more ‘grown man’ type of feel and has veered away from the Nike’s…. yet still staying true to his style & personality. He’s grown out of the fitted, t-shirt, Nike uniform to something that better expresses his serious and casual style sense.

Prote-J & Sharice| Crane’s Roost Park | Uptown Altamonte
Prote-J and Sharice represent the support and motivation that surround the CultureClimax movement. Prote-J hailing from Papua New Guinea (above Australia) went to school in Daytona and graduated from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. This rapper, producer, songwriter is a self taught musician and just accomplished 15,000 downloads of his mixtape Good Hip Hop Meets Radio. Sharice just started classes at University of Louisiana to her get MBA in Biology. Not a whole lot can get in the way of their goals and aspirations and I look forward to seeing them flourish!
An impromptu shoot at Uptown Altamonte captured the Prote-J & Sharice’s casual and colorful style. Sharice’s sense of fashion is chic and sophisticated with lots of color and fun accessories to spruce it up. Prote-J’s style is relaxed and polished as he’s usually wearing some type of collared shirt with Nike’s on his feet. These two are always nicely dressed with a trendy style that one could easily see in the windows of a store display.

Chris Kuhl | Covert Skate Shop | Milk District Orlando
This Orlando native and self-proclaimed “King of the Springs” (Winter Springs) has been a friend since we first moved to the area and met up with him for an old-fashion Niketalk Sneaker Summit. Fast forward six years and Kuhl (as known to the majority of his friends) is now an Orange County Fire Dept. Firefighter and we wouldn’t expect anything else. With one of the most outgoing personalities of anybody we’ve ever met, Kuhl is one of the easiest people to talk hip-hop (Don’t get him started on Nas or Budden) and sneakers with. Oh, and fitteds? Let’s not even go there. Word is dude owns a 90% share in Cap City. OK… maybe not but dude’s hat game is crazed. A huge Orlando Magic fan and sports fan in general, you’re bound to catch Kuhl at pretty much any Downtown bar watching sports and more importantly, drinking a beer or 4.
Since we’ve met Chris years ago, it’s safe to say he’s off of throwbacks and pinwheels. Kicks? Those will never go. Jordans are a must as are a lot of other Mid-90s Nike basketball kicks, Supras, Forces and Dunks. A fan of most current streetwear labels such as The Hundreds, Kuhl is able to put together outfits that scream authenticity whether it be sneakerhead, hip-hop head, sports guy or all-around good dude.
