Occupy Protestor Creates Jay Z Greed Monster

Published on November 23rd, 2011

Occupy Wall Street has taken over the news. Capitalizing on this buzz Jay-Z’s Rocawear line released an Occupy movement t-shirt that quickly came and left as they removed it from the Rocawear site quickly after Occupy protestors expressed opposition. Protestors are upset about Hov not donating any of the money to their movement and the sacrifices that have been made thus far. Recently Russell Simmons and Kanye West have claimed to ‘join the movement’, maybe the Occupy was expecting Jay to follow in their footsteps and donate some of that Maybach money.

The sculpture that we like to call the “Greed Monster” was created by artist Daniel Edwards. The sculpture also incorporates Scrooge, Mr. Burns, and Richie Rich.

“To attempt to profit off of the first important social moment of 50 years with an overpriced piece of cotton is an insult to the fight for economic civil rights known as #occupywallstreet.”  – Grim, one of the leaders of the Occupy Movement
