This weekend marks a milestone in Orlando’s world of food enthusiasts or foodies as they call themselves. The original 4Rivers flagship restaurant in Winter Park will be closing up shop and moving up the street (2 blocks east of old location on Fairbanks) to what they are calling Winter Park II (1600 W. Fairbanks Avenue Winter Park, FL 32789).

Winter Park II will add their second in-house bakery, The Sweet Shop, which is currently located at the Longwood Smokehouse, an indoor dining space, and more parking spots.

Out with the old Saturday July 28 – “Last Supper” from 11am to 2pm. John Rivers and his family will be serving up their delicious food just like they did when the first location opened back in 2009. Why attend? Because BBQ and Saturdays go hand in and! Free samples, special memorabilia and a chance to sign the “Original Smokehouse Table”, which will be visible at the new location.

In with the new Monday July 30 – Grand opening at 11am at the all new 4,800 square feet restaurant. The extended space and parking was much needed!

What’s next for 4Rivers, word on the street is they will be looking into opening a UCF/East Orlando location and also looking to take it to the west coast in Gainseville and Tampa/St. Pete.
